The Warren Residential Group team went on a broker tour of the Macallen luxury condos in South Boston yesterday to introduce the building to some of our new agents. The Macallen building still impresses me with features like it’s 20,000 sq. ft. landscaped terrace, out door lap pool, and beautiful common function room which features a very unique sleek drop down projector and screen to watch your favorite movie or sporting event.
There are 37 different luxury condo floor plans at the Macallen. Some more traditional and some with over 2400 sq. ft. of open loft space. The Pappas brothers recently reduced their pricing on some of the units up to $200,000 which was needed. The neighborhood is still something many buyer’s question and expect a discount if they are going to buy into. With that said, our discussion with the on-site agent at the Macallen told us that there were even bigger plans for the neighborhood including much needed retail/commercial space which will house gourmet grocery stores and even a theatre with two screens and at seat drink and food service. There are also plans for two luxury rental buildings in this South Boston neighborhood.
Overall, this “green” project is still making a statement and I feel they should be able to sell the remaining South Boston luxury condo units over the next few months. I’m looking forward seeing the dramatic changes in the Broadway neighborhood happen over the next 24-36 months.
