This city offers a wide range of appropriate accomdations no matter your preferences. Find beautiful pre-war South End condos that combine vintage elegance with modern updates, or move into an ultra-modern masterpiece. The real estate market offers plenty of opportunities for both renting and purchasing a unit. Long-time residents may understand the differences between the neighborhoods, but newcomers should learn a little about each area before choosing Boston luxury apartments.

The Back Bay neighborhood is one of the most popular areas to live in if you are looking for a combination of culture and luxury. The area is full of authentic Victorian brownstones, many of which have been renovated to contain some of the best examples of luxury Boston real estate. The area offers unrivaled shopping opportunities in Prudential Center and Copley Place. Many businesses have located their offices to this district, making your commute much shorter if your employer is among them.

North End is the city’s oldest residential district and is home to award winning real estate like Lincoln Wharf. Also known as Little Italy, this neighborhood is small but packed with cozy restaurants, charming parks and friendly residents. Historical sites like the home of Paul Revere live side by side with high end boutiques and cafes serving authentic Italian gelato. Numerous street fairs and festivals give you a good chance to mingle with your neighbors during the spring and summer.

Walk to the Boston Public Gardens or admire the Federal-style architecture from your new luxury condo in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. As the home of the Massachusetts State House, this area is full of both historical sites and cultural hot spots. You can have both sweeping views of the city and peace of mind by choosing the quiet and protected borough of Beacon Hill. It is considered the most prestigious neighborhood in the city, having been the home of John Hancock, Anne Sexton and Uma Thurman.

It is the crunch of snow crystals on the paths of the city’s many parks, a time when those same pathways change from jogging trails to cross-country ski practice runs. But what really ushers in the winter season is the opening of the Boston Common Frog Pond to those who wish to strap on a pair of skates and glide across the ice.

Open for skating from roughly mid-November until mid to late March, the Frog Pond is on the north-eastern end of historic Boston Common. Home to the Skating Club of Boston, this is where young and old can learn to navigate around the ice in either group or private lessons, or in public free skates. New Years Eve at Frog Pond means skating, of course, along with fireworks and vendors selling hot chocolate, roasted chestnuts and other delectable tid-bits. Best of all, the pond, and all that winter fun, is within walking distance of some prime Boston real estate.

Even if you don’t feel like skating, take a walk through the woods to the onsite winter-only Frog Pond Café. Enjoy gourmet coffee and a selective menu as you dine outside under giant heated umbrellas. During the spring and fall months, Frog Pond becomes a reflecting pool, and in summer a refreshing spray pool accompanied by a children’s carousel. If a Boston relocation is in your future, this is a perfect place to get a feel for one of the city’s most cherished neighborhood open spaces.

Boston Commons is the city’s largest and oldest park and dates back to 1634. Having weathered the trying times of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, the park is a cherished historic site. Today the tree-filled grounds and zigzagging pathways are surrounded by luxury condominiums and apartments, as well as name brand high-end hotels. The Five-Star Four Seasons Hotel Boston is on the western end of the park. To the east is the ultra modern 45 Province condo tower with its floor-to-ceiling windows and dynamic city and Charles River views. Another offering is 360 Newbury St., once called the Tower Records Building, specializing in Boston loft style condos in a prime Back Bay neighborhood locale.

Massachusetts General Hospital is to the northeast, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is a short drive across the Charles River and prestigious Northeastern University is to the west. Iconic Fenway Park, home of the Boston Redsocks Major League Baseball Team, is a little farther west near a large park called the Bay Back Fens, surrounded by many Fenway luxury condos. The Charles River Reservation IV is another public park fronting the river basin, offering more opportunities to bike, jog or just enjoy the timeless views. More luxury Boston condos and apartments may be found along the waterfront near and in the colorful Back Bay neighborhood, listed on the Registry of National Historic Places

Prudential Center sits right off Interstate 90, close to the Boston Back Bay train station. The Top of the Hub Restaurant offers an impressive skyline view and superb service from the top of the center’s Prudential Tower. This is the same building that hosts the Skywalk Observatory, famed for its 360 degree view of the Boston area. The observatory is so high up that you can see the curve of the earth.

Ethnic eateries, quaint pubs, including the one called Cheers that inspired a mid-1980s TV show, and the obligatory Starbucks are also part of the local dining scene. Dine on coconut chicken at Thai Basil one night and peruse the wine-list and fresh-fish menu at Skipjack’s the next. You can always take a stroll down to the frozen Frog Pond and wrap your hands around a steaming cup of brew while making up your mind.

Boston Common is a lively hub of activity for both city dwellers and visitors. This beautiful 5-acre park has a rich history. Many famous speakers and historic events are associated with this area of Boston, including its designation as the starting point of the Freedom Trail. Every year, around the beginning of December, the park goes through a magical metamorphosis as thousands of tiny lights come to life with the annual Christmas tree lighting.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the annual event. On Thursday, December 1, 2011, St. Nick and Mayor Menino will share the joy of flipping the switches to light the trees of Boston. Thousands of people are expected to join in the festivities. The tree lighting ceremony begins around 6:00PM and the lights will be illuminated just before 8:00PM.

This year there will be a spectacular skating program at Frog Pond in Boston Common. Pairs, couple dancing routines and other programs will delight and entertain young and old. The two-hour show will feature local skaters and national champions. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:00PM.

Planning the annual tree lighting is a yearlong process. For the past forty years, the trees that have adorned Boston Common have come from Nova Scotia. This year’s tree will arrive on November 18th and take its place in history. As the truck delivering the tree makes its way to Boston Common, it will wind through the city. Occupants living along the path will be able to watch the tree as it travels past luxury Boston condos, down Cambridge and Boylston Street, and finally past One Charles Street, before it turns onto Tremont for the final leg of the long journey.

The tree will stand at 139 Tremont Street, near the Boston Visitor Center. Local schoolchildren will be on location to watch the tree arrive and visit with Santa. Residents living at Tremont on the Common, have a bird’s eye view of all the activities from their luxury condos.

Boston is a beautiful city filled with history and romance around every turn. The magical transformation of the city during the holiday season must be experienced up close. If you are visiting the area as part of a Boston relocation package, consider renting a handsome cab for the afternoon and evening before the ceremony.

Touring the city, meandering through the Back Bay condo districts and exploring the North End waterfront communities on Battery Wharf from a carriage lets you hear and feel the essence of the city. It will give you a chance to see some of the most luxurious and exquisitely designed properties available in Boston. If you are near Battery Wharf during lunchtime, you can enjoy a gourmet lunch at one of the fine dining establishments.

If you are looking for a luxury apartment Boston style, working with a Boston real estate agent is recommended. Luxury apartments and condos are scattered throughout the city and surrounding neighborhoods. Tell your Warren Residential real estate agent about the properties and neighborhoods you liked most. Real estate agents have the inside scoop about new properties under construction and recent renovations in the inner city, too. It is impossible to see everything in a day or two on your own, working with a professional will help narrow down your search.

The lighting of Boston Common is a magical experience, steeped in tradition. This time of year is filled with wonder, hope, joy and anticipation.

Join us for an evening of family fun, Boston style. For more information call 617-635-4505 or visit www.massconvention.com/bcg.html for parking information.

As one of the most prominent cities during the years that shaped the country that became America, Boston, Massachusetts is rich in history. From Paul Revere’s famous ride to the infamous Boston Massacre, the city saw more than its share of historical moments that changed the course of history and the fate of the fledgling country that became the United States of America. Just as the city itself blends history with the modern world, so does the city’s real estate. Boston real estate is unique in that it allows you to find a downtown Boston apartment that offers both the charm of days gone by and the amenities of the future. Boston luxury real estate offers the finest in Boston condominiums and lofts. Whether you plan to visit Boston in November, or are planning a Boston relocation during the Thanksgiving holiday, a tour of some of the more famous Boston sites is a must.

Thanksgiving in Boston is a beautiful time of year. Although snow is possible at Thanksgiving, you are more likely to encounter cool days and cooler nights. A daytime walk along the Freedom Trail will allow you the opportunity to take a step back in time while strolling through downtown Boston. The 2.5 mile trail takes you past many of Boston’s more well known historical sites such as the Boston Latin School. Founded in 1635, the school is not only the country’s first public school, but the oldest school in America. Both the Bunker Hill Monument and the statue of Benjamin Franklin can also be found along the trail. The Freedom Trail also passes by the site of the Boston Massacre which took place in 1770. The incident resulted in the death of five men at the hands of British Soldiers and is seen as one of the important seeds that eventually led to the American Revolution. The Revolutionary War, in turn, cost thousands of men their lives. The trail includes three important historical burying grounds where many Revolutionary War victims were laid to rest. Granary Burying Grounds, for example, is home to three signers of the United States Constitution along with Paul Revere and all five of the victims of the Boston Massacre.

Along with the Freedom Trail, the Boston National Historical Park offers a glimpse into many of the events that led to the American Revolutionary War. The U.S. navy, as part of the Historical Park program, offers tours through the U.S.S. Constitution. The Constitution, named for the U.S. Constitution by president George Washington, is the oldest commissioned naval vessel still capable of floating. Commissioned in 1797, the vessel was built in Boston and was part of the newly formed United States Navy. Both guided and self-guided tours are available along both the Freedom Trail and through the Historical Park.

Boston is not only a historically significant city, but a modern city with a wealth of real estate options for the discerning renter or investor. Whether you are looking for a Boston waterfront condo, a back bay condo, or prefer the elegance of South Boston apartments, Boston, Massachusetts has what you are looking for in luxury living.

Nearly a century later another visionary decided that the Fenway neighborhood would be the perfect place to build some luxury Boston condos. The result of that vision is Audobon Park, a high-end development filled with creature comforts..

This Boston luxury condo complex features a rather retro façade built of pre-cast muted red brick, silver metal cladding and an abundance of glass. Underneath the building is a two level garage with room for 34 cars, convenient to the Metro Boston Transportation Association’s Green-D Line. Reserved parking spaces will be offered along with the individual condo units. Availability and price information for both the condominiums and the spaces are available with your Warren Residential Boston real estate agent.

Residents and their guests are greeted by an onsite concierge in the Audobon Park lobby, ready to help with everything from dinner reservations to an early wake-up call. The lobby itself is elegant, expansive and eye-catching. A natural stone floor leads to two stainless steel elevators and your own personal space. Living at these upscale Boston condominiums entitles you to the same customer service and care as at a five star resort.

The elegance in design carries over into the individual condos. A total of 53 handsomely appointed studio, one and two-bedroom condo suites are spread out over six floors, with 18 different floor plans offered. Some floor plans offer private balconies facing either the Boston skyline or the Charles River.

Carbonized bamboo flooring graces the living areas and hallways while the bedrooms are decked in thick, rich carpeting. Carrara marble vanities and Asian designed ceramic tile floors add an air of elegance to the bathrooms. The gourmet quality kitchens are equally enticing, featuring stainless steel appliances and Absolute granite counter tops. Sleek glass-topped electric ranges, courtesy of Bosch, and refrigerators by Fisher & Paykel are included. Designer cabinets are made of rubberwood, which like the bamboo floors are renewable and ecologically friendly.

Audobon Park is surrounded by plenty of open space, making it easy to get out and enjoy your neighborhood. Walk over to historic Fenway Park and take in a baseball game, less than a half mile away. A few blocks beyond that is the Fenway Victory Gardens, always looking for volunteers with green thumbs. Next to the gardens is Back Bay Fens, an urban wildlife park that is part of the Emerald Necklace, a collection of Boston’s most cherished open spaces. Head a few blocks north and find the Charles River Reservation, a park that stretches for 20 miles along the riverfront. Jog, walk or go cycling, all within easy reach of Audobon Park’s elegant Boston condos.

The Landmark Center, built in 1929 when the art deco style was in fashion, houses a 13-screen movie house, retail shops, businesses and restaurants. Listed on the National Historic Register, the center is a block away from Audobon Park. Additional restaurants within walking distance are found along Beacon Street, Brookline Avenue and along the Charles River. The Tsai Performance Center, part of Boston University, offers concerts from the New England Philharmonic and live theater productions. The more intimate Boston Playwrights Theatre offers locally penned and produced plays and musicals. Audobon Park is surrounded by natural beauty, history and an abundance of cultural finesse.

It’s no wonder there are so many family-oriented events happening in Boston in November. Massachusetts is the site of America’s first Thanksgiving, and the city of Boston commemorates the event in style. Whether your family prefers cultural events, outdoor activities or just admiring the view from a Boston waterfront condo, there’s something for every family to enjoy in Boston this November.

Family Art Cart at the Museum of Fine Arts
The Family Art Cart is a fun and education event for children four years and older held at Boston’s Museum of Fine Art. The event includes opportunities for children and adults to actively participate in art projects, historical mysteries and mythical tales. Family Art Cart is held every Saturday and Sunday during November, at 10:00am to 4:00pm in the Shapiro Family Courtyard. The MFA is conveniently located off Fenway near Boston’s Back Bay, making it a “must do” if you’re staying in a Back Bay condo or Back Bay apartment.

Experience the Boston Symphony

Family Concert at Boston Symphony Hall
What could be more enjoyable than an evening at the symphony with your entire family? The Boston Symphony Orchestra makes it possible with their Family Concert on Saturday, November 12 at 12:00pm. The Boston Symphony Orchestra is considered one of the five best American orchestras. Bringing your family to see the Boston Symphony Orchestra may become one of your favorite holiday traditions.

Peter Pan at Boston City Hall Plaza
Peter Pan is a wonder-filled family play that’s been enjoyed for generations. Do you remember when you still believed in the power of pixie dust? Performances run Tuesday through Friday at 7:00pm and include three scheduled matinees on the weekends. This November, introduce your children to this classic fantasy at the Boston City Hall Plaza, located in the heart of downtown Boston. For a selection of available downtown Boston condos and downtown Boston apartments situated near the City Hall Plaza, contact your Warren Residential Boston real estate agent who specializes in vacation property.

Boston Harbor Whale Watch Cruise
Don’t let the weather prevent your family from experiencing one of the most exciting events happening in Boston — sighting an endangered humpback whale. With the Boston Harbor Whale Watch Cruise you can enjoy the comfort of a climate-controlled cabin while listening to informative and entertaining narration from a naturalist. The cruise lasts three hours and leaves from Long Wharf. There are several departure times to choose from including 10:00am, 12:00pm and 2:30pm.

Enjoy a traditional NE Thanksgiving Dinner

A Bostonian Family Thanksgiving

There are dozens of options for enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with your family in Boston this November. Many fine dining establishments, casual family restaurants and historic eateries offer a turkey feast with all of the delicious trimmings you’d expect. However, if you’re staying in one of the luxury Boston rentals available during this time of year you might choose to prepare Thanksgiving dinner with your family or have the holiday meal catered by one of Boston’s premiere home chef’s.

Whether relaxing in one of the classic Beacon Hill apartments or a living it up in a modern Boston loft fits your family’s needs, this November, make the trip to Bean Town and celebrate the holiday in historic style.

Originally built in 1924, this eight story property has been rehabilitated by the Boston Residential Group, the same developers of the highly sought after 360 Newbury St. properties. Located on the cusp of the Back Bay and South End, the 285 Columbus Lofts condos highlight high-end features and fittings in a building that is uniquely Boston. This brick building is in the classic revival style and is convenient to all the amenities of historic Boston. It also offers some of the best views of the neighborhood, especially from the rooftop deck.

There are 63 lofts located in the 285 Columbus Lofts property available in three different styles ranging from 753 to 1579 square feet. These three floor plans are available in any of four different views. The first style of loft is a one bedroom, one bathroom unit, and they range between 750 and 900 square feet. The second type of these Boston condominiums is a one bedroom plus a study and two bathrooms or a two bedroom, two bathroom loft, which range from 1000 to 1300 square feet. The third style of luxury Boston condo is a two bedroom, two bathroom and a study unit which are upward of 1500 square feet. Only one of these types of units is available per floor of the building.

Depending on the unit and the floor it is on, some of the available views are: of Clarendon Street and Columbus Avenue and the South End, or over the Back Bay T Stop.

Each loft in this building has been fitted with the most luxurious fittings and touches. Dark hardwood floors are throughout; custom made cabinetry by Rosario; high-end kitchen appliances by makers such as Wolf, Jenn-Air and Bosch; and elegant fixtures in the kitchen and bathrooms. European finishes such as marble bath countertops and granite kitchen counters add to the luxuriousness of these properties. Each unit comes complete with a laundry hookup, and cable and high-speed internet connections. Each loft has high ceilings and windows, but they offer the privacy of enclosed bedrooms. You can have the feeling of living in a loft but still maintain some privacy.

The building is serviced by two elevators, and there is a 24 hour on-site concierge. Each unit has access to a shared roof deck which has stunning panoramic views of the area, and there is extra storage available on-site. The ground level of this building is home to nearly 10,000 square feet of retail space. As an additional bonus, there is underground parking available.

285 Columbus Lofts are just steps away from public transportation, a high-end fitness center, world-class dining, museums, art galleries and other desirable amenities. Unlike other Boston condos, this building has artfully integrated all the historic value of the building with luxurious and modern lofts.

The 285 Columbus Lofts are ideal for those who want to want to live in luxurious surroundings but who still appreciate the aesthetic value of an historic neighborhood. Step away from the hustle of downtown Boston condos and enter a world of fine living in your own loft in one of the city’s best areas.
