Hyde Park
Hyde Park is Boston’s most-southern neighborhood and borders Dedham, West Roxbury, and Milton. The neighborhood provides both the convenience of the city and the open space commonly associated with the suburbs. During warm weather, many of Boston’s residents flock to George Wright, Hyde Park’s famous Donald Ross-designed golf course.
Hyde Park’s architecture mainly consists of Victorian-era homes, including historic Victorian, Queen Anne, and Georgian revival designs. Its central business district near River Street, Fairmont Street, and Hyde Park Avenue is home to many restaurants and shops. Mayor Menino makes his home in Hyde Park.
