West Roxbury
One of the more suburban-style neighborhoods of Boston, West Roxbury is a great option for people wanting to be close to the city but also have a bit more space to relax. Bordered by Roslindale, Hyde Park, Dedham, and Brookline, West Roxbury’s main commercial section is a restaurant- and shops-lined area along Centre Street.
Most homes in West Roxbury are single-family and are good alternatives to the higher- priced residences found in the next town over, Brookline. West Roxbury is also home to Roxbury Latin High School, which was founded in 1645 and is the oldest continuously running school in North America.
