7INK by Ollie: Boston's 1st Major Co-living Development

7INK by Ollie is a new 14-story residential development recently approved for Boston's Ink Block neighborhood in South End. The project would be Boston’s first major co-living development, emphasizing communal living. Ollie residents enjoy hotel-style amenities for free like premium television, housekeeping, and social memberships. They have properties in other cities around the United States such as Pittsburgh and New York but this would be their first Boston location.

The Boston location would be part of the six-acre Ink Block neighborhood that includes numerous apartments, condominiums, a hotel, and a variety of businesses. Construction is expected to commence later this year with the building opening in 2020. The homes are marketed as "move-in ready," with fully functional convertible spaces that allow someone to customize the space based on his lifestyle. This should be incredibly appealing to people in the variety of industries around the area including medical and higher education. Homes will also include smart home technology, premium WIFI and television, weekly housekeeping, and other "hotel-like" amenities to make it a truly "lock it and leave it" lifestyle.

Outside of the individual spaces, Ollie really emphasizes amenities designed fo bring people together. In addition to lounges, gyms, spa areas, roof deck, juice bars, etc., residents will also have access to a growing list of amenity spaces in buildings around the city. These areas help brings residents together and provide opportunities to make friends - especially for residents who may be often on the go. As we see amenities becoming increasingly important in Boston's development scene, this should be a positively welcomed feature of this new co-living development.
