How Staging Made an Impact in One South Boston Condo

Nick Warren has been involved in the Boston real estate market for over ten years as Founder and CEO of BHHS Warren Residential. Having worked with sellers throughout the city and at all price points, he has come to see the real value that staging can bring to a home on the market.

Recently, he worked with sellers of a condo at 141 West Second Street in South Boston. This two bedroom, two full bath layout features an open floor plan with private outdoor space. Large windows bring in tons of light with a spacious living and kitchen area perfect for entertaining. Priced at $975,000, the home hit the market with the seller’s furnishings, as pictured below.

As you can see, the size and bulkiness of the furniture made it difficult to really appreciate the openness of the space. Working with a local staging company, Nick brought a fresh look to the space with smaller pieces and a color palette that made the rooms look fresh and open.

With the new look, the home quickly went under agreement at full asking price and sold well under the average Days on Market for the building which is 73.88 days. By taking the time and having the expertise to stage the home in a way that was more appealing to prospective buyers, Nick successfully coordinated the sale for the very happy sellers.
