The Boston dining scene can sometimes be underrated, in our opinion. But from Michelin-rated eateries like Barbara Lynch’s No. 9 Park and Menton to classics like Union Oyster House, there are some places to find an amazing meal throughout the city. We have seen a lot of changes in the past few years as new places have opened and we have had to say goodbye to some delicious favorites. (We miss you, L’Espalier). This year is destined to bring some exciting new restaurant options including these 5 we can’t wait to check out:
Krasi
The owner of Committee and Greco is opening a Greek wine bar called Krasi in Back Bay as early as next week. It will feature one of the largest selections of Greek wines in the country as well as some amazing food. We can’t wait for the nearly two dozen meze!
Yellow Door Taqueria
Coming to the trendy Ink Block neighborhood, Yellow Door Taqueria is opening a new location after seeing success in Dorchester. They have won a ton of awards including being named Best Taco on the “Best of Boston 2019” list.
Annette Kristiansen, one of our foodie-friendly agents can’t wait to check out this new spot. “I'm particularly excited about Yellow Door opening. Their original location in Dorchester has a fun interior, is great for cocktails and has amazing taco tuesday specials,” says Annette. “I am happy to see that location has done so well that they are now expanding. I live in the South End so I can't wait to be within walking distance of their new restaurant!”
Cósmica
We are so thrilled about this spot opening up at the Revolution Hotel in South End. From the team behind The Beehive, this is destined to be an amazing after-work destination. In addition to some delicious-sounding tacos, they are also offering boozy slushies and sangria. Sounds like the perfect way to end a workday!
Bucktown Chicken & Fish
Coming to Mission Hill, this Providence favorite may not be the healthiest dinner option but it will certainly be one of the most delicious. They are known for their Southern comfort food from chicken and waffles to fried fish sandwiches, shrimp and oyster po’ boys. They are slated to open in early summer on Tremont Street.
Da LaPosta
Coming in spring of this year, this new pizza place in Fort Point is another one we are excited to experience! With a commitment to local, sustainable ingredients, the chef has a reputation for delicious meals and we are sure this one will be no different. Check out the new place which is going into the space where Bee’s Knees Supply Co. used to be.
With so many new places opening this year, we are not sure which to try first! What Boston restaurant opening are you most excited about?
