A Few Questions with Josh:
How long have you been involved in the world of Boston real estate?
I started in December 2013 after leaving my previous career in social work. With little money in my bank account, I put my head down and worked as hard as I could. I haven’t looked back, (or took my head up), since.
What brought you to BHHS Warren Residential?
Honestly, I didn’t interview any other brokerages. I knew an agent that worked for Nick and she introduced me to him. His story resonated with me and he was also a UMass Alumni so that helped seal the deal.
You recently received a prestigious award in being named the top agent for all of Massachusetts for Q1 2020. What do you attribute this success to?
As I proceed through my career in real estate, I always try to stay humble and remember the journey that brought me here. In this business, if you focus on cultivating strong relationships with people and show your value, you will earn their business for life. My success in Q1 is made up of mostly past clients or their referrals to new clients and conversations that started many months before.
How does working as a team benefit your buyers and sellers?
Despite thinking that I can do it all sometimes, I realized my reach is limited to the hours in the day. My team is made up of agents that started out just like me. They care about our clients as much as I do and are eager to learn how to better assist them with buying & selling in the Greater Boston area. Pat and Jacquline are an extension of me and my founding values that brought me to where I am today.
Outside of the office, where can one find you?
Lately? You can find me in Assembly Row where I live. This COVID stuff has really put an electric fence around us all. With that being said, I’ve enjoyed the extra time to explore other interests and hobbies.
Favorite neighborhood to explore?
During the past few months, I’ve actually spent time exploring all the amazing parks and green spaces in various neighborhoods throughout Greater Boston. From the paths along the Mystic River in my backyard to the Blue Hills, the Fellsway, and even Harold Parker State Forest. It’s amazing to think about how lucky we are to have so many parks in and around Boston.
Favorite activity to enjoy during summer in Boston?
I think everyone from Boston can agree, finding a good restaurant patio to have drinks and delicious food with friends is definitely at the top of my list. Aside from that, I like to escape to either my family’s home on the Cape or my best friend’s house in Coastal NH on the weekends when I’m not working. I also really love showing homes and selling during the Summer. All real estate looks and feels better when the sun is out!
