Agent Spotlight: Meredith Kiep

Agent Spotlight: Meredith Kiep

Meredith has been involved in Boston real estate for over ten years and built a successful business working with buyers, sellers, renters, and investors throughout Greater Boston. This month, she was recognized as the top agent at her office for the first half of 2020. Her clients appreciate her professionalism and responsiveness as they navigate their transactions. She has worked with many first time buyers and sellers and makes sure to educate them on the process and answer questions along the way so they feel comfortable - especially in competitive market conditions. Meredith understands that the Boston area market changes rapidly and invests in staying on top of changing trends and market statistics. She also knows that an educated client is better able to make informed decisions and works to explain market conditions and trends to them. Above all, Meredith is committed to providing a top level of service that goes beyond just the transaction - helping her create clients for life.

A Few Questions with Meredith:

How long have you been involved in Boston real estate?

I moved to Boston in 2010 and worked as an office manager for a small real estate company in The Fenway. As I started to learn about Boston and the real estate market, I decided to get my real estate license. Once I did, I fell in love with the job and never looked back!

What brought you to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Warren Residential?

I came to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Warren Residential because I felt it offered the support and resources I needed to take my career to the next level and to better assist my clients. I also loved that the company had a boutique feel but with a BIG name behind it. At the time, I was at a plateau in my career, and after my first meeting with Nick, I felt motivated, inspired, and confident they could help me take my career to the next level. Because of Nick’s support and all the amazing resources Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has to offer its agents and clients, I could not be happier with my decision!

You recently were recognized as the top agent at the company for the first half of 2020. What do you attribute this success to?

This has been such a crazy and exciting (in some ways) year! I really owe my success to the support of my clients, friends, family, and my broker and colleagues at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Warren Residential. Most of my business comes from referrals from past clients or within the industry which is a huge compliment. This business is all about the relationships you establish and build over the years with both clients and colleagues within the industry. There are a lot of moving parts when buying or selling a home, so working together and having strong relationships with people is crucial to having a successful transaction.

What do you think is the biggest challenge to people looking to buy or sell their home in the current environment?

For buyers, I think the biggest challenge right now is the limited inventory (which is often the case for many markets in the Boston area). For sellers, I think the challenge is being able to find a new home and nervousness that buyers may not be committed to buying right now due to all the uncertainty of everything happening in the world right now.

Outside of the office, where can one find you?

Outside of the office, you can find me on the volleyball court, hiking around the North East area, or at the local arcade (well pre-Covid). If I’m feeling like more of a homebody you can find me in the kitchen attempting a new recipe or hanging out with my fur baby, Hunter.

What is your favorite neighborhood to explore?

That’s such a tough one! Every neighborhood in Boston really has something unique to offer. I recently moved to Savin Hill and have had fun exploring new restaurants and hangouts there. It’s been a bit limiting the last few months but I’m eager to explore more!

Current favorite place to grab a bite to eat?

My go-to spot is Cornwall’s in Kenmore. It feels like a small-town bar in a big city with great people, food and drinks. I mean you can’t go wrong with mozzarella sticks and some wings!
