In our “Meet the Team” blog series, you can learn a little bit more about your favorite Boston real estate professionals. Each month, we will highlight one of our agents - taking a look at their professional accomplishments and work style and also giving an insight into what makes them unique. Take a few moments to read about what makes the team at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Warren Residential so very special.
This month, we would like to introduce you to Meredith Kiep! Meredith has been one of the top agents with the company over the past few years, winning many monthly and annual awards. Take a moment to learn more about her:
What is the strangest thing that has happened to you in real estate?
My client asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding a year after meeting her on Craiglist from a rental appointment. We are still good friends to this day!
What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone looking to buy or sell a property in today's market?
Make sure you have an agent that knows what they are doing and is willing to fight for you. You want to work with an agent that views this as a longer-term relationship, not just to make a quick dollar. In a constantly changing market and one as competitive as Boston's (including the suburbs) it is more important than ever to have an expert on your side.
What is your favorite aspect of working with BHHS Warren Residential?
My favorite aspect of working for BHHS Warren Residential is all the great agents. The real estate industry can be thought of as 'cut-throat' even among colleagues so its great being in an environment where everyone supports each other and wants the other's success. What's a fun or surprising fact about you that most people don't know?
I'm allergic to birds. One time when I was driving on Storrow on my way to an appointment, there were baby ducks running along the road trying to get back to their mother but couldn't jump the curve. Everyone was slowing down to drive around them but I decided to get out of my car, stop traffic, and chase these 6 little ducklings down to scoop them over the curb. After running around in circles for about 10 minutes, I successfully caught all of them to reunite with their mother. Since I'm allergic to their dander, I started breaking out in hives so I had to drive directly to CVS for some Benedryl. I was about 15 minutes late to the appointment but my clients were not surprised by my reason as they know I am a huge animal lover. When you're not working, what are some of your favorite hobbies or activities?
I love to play volleyball - indoor and outdoor! It's a great way to see my friends and stay active. I also appreciate any down time with my kitties, Hunter and Harley Quinn.
