Weston is a historic city, officially over 300 years old, that has endeavored to keep its quiet, semi-rural atmosphere.

However, residents of Weston do not lack modern conveniences or infrastructure. For example, the I-95 Highway runs past the eastern boundary of Weston, and the I-90 runs through the southern portion, ensuring easy and quick access to surrounding areas and the city of Boston to the east. A light rail line runs through the northeastern portion of Weston with three stations: Silver Hill, Hastings, and Kendal Green.

Neighboring communities include Wayland to the west, Wellesley to the south, Waltham and Newton to the east, and Lincoln to the north.
