About Mission Hill

Mission Hill is a ¾ square mile neighborhood in the city of Boston, MA.

It is a primarily residential area, bordering Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Brookline and Fenway-Kenmore.

It is home to several hospitals and universities, including Brigham and Women's Hospital and New England Baptist Hospital.

It’s super easy for Mission Hill residents to commute downtown, with the options of getting the Orange Line from Roxbury Crossing or the Green Line from Brigham Circle.

But, locals don’t have to leave “The Hill,’’ to partake in city life. The commercial area around Brigham Circle is bustling with restaurants, bars, markets and more.

In Mission Hill, you can find blocks of traditional red brick row houses and iconic triple-deckers.

Things To Do In Mission Hill

As with all Boston neighborhoods, there’s lots to do when you live in Mission Hill.

Kevin W. Fitzgerald Park is a popular place for locals to hang out. This Lovely park has nice grassy areas for picnics, tons of birds, and a great view of downtown Boston. It also has an off leash, fenced-in dog run where you can let your dog run free.

As Mission Hill continues to grow in popularity, new businesses continue to pop-up. The growing food scene has seen the introduction of popular places like Chilacates, Laughing Monk Cafe and Milkweed (a must visit for weekend brunch!).

Outside of eateries, Mission Hill Yoga and TrillFit’s cardio dance studio have both opened in recent years, while the Parker Hill branch of the Boston Public Library also recently reopened.

Living in Mission Hill means you can experience all the best aspects of Boston whenever you please. The nearby Museum of Fine Arts is an amazing place to spend a day, or if you’d rather visit Fenway Park for a ball game - you easily can!
